Background

UNICEF has been supporting the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MOLSAMD) to develop national capacity in child-centered social work. In the absence of a school of social work in Afghanistan and to address the immediate needs of vulnerable children, UNICEF and MOLSAMD have begun a project to formalize social work as recognized profession in Afghanistan. Experiences gathered by implementing partners of the social work training and coaching system show the need for:

Ikatan Pekerja Sosial Profesional Indonesia (IPSPI) dan Ikatan Pendidikan Pekerjaan Sosial Indonesia (IPPSI) pada hari Senin 10 Mei 2010mengadakan diskusi dan kerjasama dengan Presiden Asian Pacific Social 
Work Education (APASWE), Prof. Tatsuru Akimoto dan Board APASWE, Prof. Decha Sungkawan di Gedung STISIP Widuri jalan Palmerah Barat Nomor 353 Jakarta Selatan. Tampak hadir Tata Sudradjat (Ketua IPSPI) dan Rudi Safrudin Darwis (Sekjen IPPSI), Ny. Leoni Radius Prawiro (Ketua Yayasan Widuri), pengurus IPSPI, IPPSI, LSM, para pengajar dan mahasiswa STISIP Widuri. Pertemuan ini membahas tentang Hubungan Kerjasama dengan APASWE di Bidang Pendidikan dan Praktek Pekerjaan Sosial di Indonesia kesejahteraan sosial.
